A fur ban means there will be no selling of new animal furs in the state of Florida. A fur ban enhances the reputation of our state and highlights animal welfare as an important issue.
The unnecessary cruelty that takes place on these fur farms to produce a luxury item that has no significant purpose, while creating waste and a threat to public health is the epitome of irresponsibility.
A fur ban in the state of Florida would not apply to vintage furs, hunters, trappers or religious uses of fur.
This is solely to prevent the sale of new fur.
